Clark to campaign for Kerry in Macon; Edwards to visit Monday

As Super Tuesday's Democratic primary draws closer, presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards plans a last-minute stop in Macon, and former candidate Wesley Clark is stumping for Sen. John Kerry.

Clark, a retired Army general who recently dropped out of the presidential race, will be at Macon City Hall at 2 p.m. today in support of Kerry, D-Mass. Clark will rally with Macon Mayor Jack Ellis, Milledgeville Mayor Floyd Griffin and former Macon Mayor Lee Robinson. The four are planning an afternoon news conference.

"All four are Vietnam vets in support of Kerry," said Ben Barnard, regional field director for the Kerry campaign.
