Nader starts campaign in Texas
The Associated Press
http://www.dfw.com/mld/startelegram/news/state/8036035.htm

HOUSTON - Ralph Nader's long-shot drive for the White House came to President Bush's home state Tuesday, where Nader needs more than 64,000 signatures to get on the Texas presidential ballot as an independent.

Nader, who ran as the Green Party presidential candidate four years ago, rejected criticism that he will siphon crucial votes from one of the major-party nominees despite knowing he cannot win.

'scuse please.
I do not support Nader, I support Kucinich and the eventual nominee for the Dem party.

I also appreciate ANY and ALL efforts to give Dubyah a big old middle finger in the meanwhile!

8. We'll see
But in the meantime I welcome his chance at getting in the media and ripping that Son of a bu$h a new one. I mean, he doesn't have to worry about playing it safe like the dems, he can really go after Dubya in a big bad way.

5. Did Will Rogers run for President
Seems as a less funny more serious candidate Independent (ex-Green) Nader fits that bill for what good it will do.

9. Strange place to start his campaign
Too bad the campaign won't dent gw*. He only got 137,994 in 2000 and needs 64,000 to get on the ballot?

I guess he won't get on the ballot in Indiana. He only got 18,531 in 2000 and I believe he needs to get over 20,000 to get on the ballot.
