When I was in the military, esp in the '80s, most of us thought Ollie North was a disgrace and an embarrassment to the uniform he wore. One officer I worked for, a fairly conservative white male, knew him in the Pentagon and said he was always a "loose cannon on deck." Unfortunately, not enough people left in the military who remember what he really was. They just hear the right-wing media fawn all over him and figure he's just a simple marine, doing his duty, who got screwed by the liberals. Sad....

4. Thank GOD someone finally said that about North

on Fox. I can't believe they bring out North to spout this bullshit and no one ever says "WTF? Why would I listen to Ollie North on ANYTHING?"

My favorite was when I saw North talking about the danger posed by Iran and Iran's long support of terrorism and we should go after them next . . . and NONE of the guests asked North if this was the same Iran that he sold weapons to in the 80s? So ridiculous.

I'm tempted to say I'm amazed that "Ollie" North is actually even invited on talk shows these days as a credible guest, but Hannity is also buddy-buddy with Gordon Liddy, and if Nixon was still alive he'd probably be a regular on "Hannity and ......" as well.
