I just realized I'm not used to choosing between several Dems. |
|
That is, between several candidates who each have a really good shot (well, all except Kucinich). Scary, but true. The first presidential election I was able to vote in was this last one, when Gore was basically the only one with the potential to beat Bush. In the election before that, Clinton stood pretty much alone. As a second-grader, I supported Jesse Jackson (still do in my heart) but wasn't really concerned with his chances of winning.
I will probably vote for Kucinich in the primary. Even if he doesn't win (I'm pretty sure he won't), the winning Dem might be convinced to be more liberal if he sees that so many people were progressive enough to vote for Kucinich. How's that sound?

It doesn'y matter how the candidates change. He'll still get attacked by the true "progressives" on this site for "faking it." Remember, boys and girls, vote green, all those other nasties voted for the patriot act and IWR.

what you're referring to? Do you mean the logic of voting for Kucinich in the primaries is false, or that other people would take it the wrong way? I'm kinda confused.

4. The point is to get a sizeable block of DK delegates -- it CAN be done! |
|
Less than half the national delegates have been decided yet. This is a GREAT opportunity for progressives to get a seat at the table.
THAT is how we send a message -- in person, at the convention!

5. I thought DK was hopeless until I discussed |

the whole issue with my godmom. She was the one who reminded me about influencing the winning Dem, even if Kucinich doesn't win. Yay for her!

6. You have a very wise godmom |
|
And you can tell you I said. :)
I'm also willing to bet that in her life she goes after what she wants and needs, and doesn't "settle". Very wise woman!
This is where we get spine! We pay attention to our real needs, rather than Madison Avenue tripe, and demand nothing less than the best for our country! That is the legacy we inherited from our founders, and it's time we remember that. What was all that tea doing, swimming in the harbor, if it wasn't a statement that we won't be pushed around by monied interests?
Got spine? Vote Kucinich!

8. Show them with your vote - hope begins... |

I really like Kucinich. I think that he's a great candidate -- and I think that people might be in for a little surprise, since he did so well in Hawaii and came out so strongly calling for Alan Greenspan to resign after he was calling to cut social security. Also, tomorrow is another debate, and I am feeling that Kucinich will be really strong. I am hoping for some surprises.
