to my former client - I don't regret helping him achieve his life's goals and making lots of DUers proud.

And if you're concerned about me, I've gotten my master's since then and my current title is CTO for a business that's being incubated by NYU.

Princeton & Harvard? I never thought much of ivy league schools when they recruited me ... don't hold much stock in 'em now. But Michelle's behavior at the end of Barak's speech - and his scowl - were revealing. Why close your eyes now, when the opportunities for our future are the brightest they've been in a decade?

That bothers you, doesn't it? After all, why shouldn't I be bitter about a former client who talks trash. Well, IRL, I got the position I have today because of my reputation. So I have no anger to direct ... at anyone, even you.

Why don't you just put me on ignore? That way, you can have a good time and I won't bother you.

And you might notice, I'm joined by every person on this thread, not to mention everyone who commented in your disgusting thread slamming his little girls. You have zero credibility on this- and it's not just because of Brad. You did it yourself by posting this stuff.

A reflective person would like at the universal condemnation of your comments on these two threads and re-consider.

35. LOL!! Libel it isn't.
You attacked his little girls behavior on stage after the Iowa win, and you made a grotesque and bizzare "argument" that he wouldn't be a good president because he had young children and had never been tested by teenagers. You can't get away with fudging about that OP, Fredda. Thousands saw it, and we know the truth- and your "truthiness". Your unfounded attacks on Obama reflect something very unsavory- and not about Obama or his family.

I wonder what the root of your hatred for him is? Could it have something to do with a story you tell about having a shoe thrown at you after MLK was assassinated.

Ah, the '68 riots, when I saw my mother cry. Yup, I know how I feel about living in East Flatbush, but remember dear ... I'm still in Brooklyn, only a few miles away and get along very well in real life with everyone. So, imagine what you will - I've done what I can to leave this world a better place - when your program is profiled on the evening news, you can say I'm bragging. Until then, I'm contributing despite the circumstances under which I find myself.

wrong with kids wanting to be cute? In context, it's disturbing because it resembles a stage set called Camelot - and the thread was about Oprah's influence on the phenomena.

They seemed completely charming to me - as were Edwards' kids last time and Edwards was saved by Leiberman from being my least favorite of the potentially viable candidates.

As it happens, my niece took dance lessons (if you can call the preschool stuff dance) in 2004 with the younger Obama girl, my sister and her partner both said the Obamas were very nice people who did not expect to be treated differently from anyone else. My niece liked her, but wanted why she couldn't be on TV too.

88. here's your revolting, bigoted quote
God, you realy are pathological.

Don't choke on your own words, Fredda.

The Obamas and Oprah ... here's my issue
Observing the two girls, I see a disturbing need for attention, a willingness to behave for approval and ... in the younger, none of the polished composure that hides the motivations for everyone on the stage.

It's a dream - a lovely dream ... but it rained in the daytime during Camelot and the last time we had small children in the WH, we could be distracted by family antics. This is a presidential candidate who hasn't faced his own teen's rebellion and if anyone is unproven, it's a young dad.

Happy feet vocabulary will get us only so far ... I've waited for practical responses to intractable issues, not excuses for the way they are. When I hear talk about hope, I hear easy answers - but progress is made with compromise and reciprocity. FDR & LBJ walked in w/a portfolio of owed favors.

Even the talk about unity makes me nervous. Michael Eric Dyson, a professor at Georgetown University "who has studied racial identity" according to today's NYTimes, describes Obama as a member of his own tribe. Would Oprah have campaigned for a white candidate?

116. Seriously ... I want innoculate us from show biz influences by
pointing them out. It was like the theatre class I took, where I warned that I would never appreciate a show again as a passive audience member. Those of us who accepted the cost, learned how to move people. It's not cynicism - you have to have real talent.

What I saw last night was Michelle Obama's ... call it her interpretation - respond to it in your own way, but her husband's facial expression was telling, if fleeting. Asking if anyone else caught it seemed to be the best way to open a conversation.

Seriously ... I expected some to have seen it, others not.

123. No, let me try again. I was responding to the thing about his kids
which then jumps to Michael Eric Dyson said this and that. It makes no sense therefore I can't judge whether it's bigoted or just simply incoherent.

138. You may not follow, but there was reason that led from one
observation to the other. Bigotry in this case is in the eye of the beholder - because it was Dyson who mentioned Africans seeing Obama as one of their own. It may seen natural to you, but I come from a tribal society ... so my perception to such a remark would be different.

What does a need for attention mean? What do you think? It has nothing to do with race ... that's for sure.

The post started w/an observation of a child's innocent behavior. It made me wonder about the more guarded behavior of the adults ... but I hadn't yet seen Michelle's performance. Thinking back to Oprah's involvement, which concerns me because of, frankly, the question of whether this media giant - who gives away automobiles to her audience - would have campaigned for someone who wasn't African American. Dyson's use of the word "tribe" as loosely as he did carried other implications straight out of today's headlines.

Now, that these ideas came together in my mind for a question about this new Camelot-like scene is my personal thought process, which I've explained as clearly as I can. If it's still incoherent to you, I apologize for not communicating more clearly. But there's nothing bigoted or prejudice ... it's the exact opposite: I'm responding to what I'm actually noticing, not what I bring from my personal history.

Judging from the responses you got either your "observation" was badly written and misinterpreted or you stepped on something and are now trying to fix it.

At the risk of being masochistic, I'll try this.: What was so disturbing about his kids or whatever you meant by that?

I'll do this for you. To put your mind at ease. I've met one of the Obamas former babysitter. She had nothing but the nicest things to say about them as a family and as people. I'm sure this will be a shock to you but they seem like a perfectly normal (whatever that means) family.

59. Ah, this response has potential. If you're sincere, then yes, of course
we agree. But that's why I posted just what I saw and the responses have been, to say the least, off the point.

But please, what was your intepretation of Barak's response as they walked off the stage? I'm really interested in hearing from someone else who saw it and can describe it any other way.

Ball's in your court ... I've been as civil as possible while describing an election that really matters ...

You obviously have racial issues. I was mentioning the way a man looked at his wife. Sorry, but one of us is bringing an irrelevant agenda.

120. Ah, the race card ... nope, you don't know anything about me.
It's funny, really. I grew up in East Flatbush, which had been redlined and was changing ethnicities. So I consider myself an internal US refugee. Anyhoo, my oldest brother was in Lefferts General ... not much, but what do you get in America w/o health insurance? So anyway, he asks my mother, because that's what he sees around him, "Mommy, am I black?"

So, no, I have a problem w/people who assume racism where none exists.

didn't you? And my dignity offends you ... how sorry you are.

As for the Obamas, I'll continue to point out the obvious without rancor - I don't hold it again him that he derailed Nancy Skinner's campaign, but will always keep in mind this is a candidate who didn't work with us. Aside from that, I'm learning what I'm observing ... and last night was again revealing.

You peer through a very distorted lens. And I think I know what the distortion could be.

Maybe it bothers you that I have friends who seek my advice? Anyhoo, adversity does build character, so to answer your question, yes, losing in NH would not have sunk her. In fact, I would have made an additional donation myself. As for your prediction, "She's about to get blown out of the water in NH" ... well, one of us knew enough to stay silent when others have free will.

Why would I give a shit that you have friends who seek your advice. And my prediction about Clinton in NH wasn't a slam. I make no secret that I don't support her for the nomination, but I've repeatedly been accused of being a stealth "hillbot" because of my defense of her.

You? Your attacks on Obama are very telling, particularly in the light of certain comments you've made.

89. You're imagining that I'm attacking Obama. I would never deliberately
damage a viable candidate from our party. But while a mature option exists, I will point out the obvious and if it stings, there was probably something wrong that disturbs you. Else, you would have taken my available option and simply enjoyed Michelle's show. The kids are fun to watch as well. Now, you wanna claim that I'm attacking children again? Feh.

So you don't want HRC to suffer ... you're aiming at me. Well, I've learned that bullies pick on me to become my friend, but first, I have to fight to to a draw. No need to hurt you ... just stand up to someone who obviously is accustomed to getting her own way. Not me, cali. Not me.

So, when you're feeling less stressed out and bitter, I'm here to enjoy. These are good times for Democrats and progressives in general. We have social models that work that are the envy of the world. I'm ready to take my part in making those good things happen and will happily share the experience w/you.

As human beings, we all MUST, at times, "stereotype" groups of people in order to make sense of the world. However, it's what we do after we make ourselves aware of those thoughts that differentiate us as "thoughtful and compassionate humanitarians" from the "kool-aid drinking racists."

The DJIA was down almost 2% yesterday and he expected voters to vote on some rehased words and not the real issues this country faces. I'm looking forward to Edwards bumping him down come super T, it will happen.

87. I enjoyed Edwards' phrase, "It's my privilege to be here"
I appreciated that and wish him and his family well.

110. Congratulations on a dishonest post and on the company
you've chosen. Obama's speech was specific on policy- from economics to global warming, and gracious toward both Clinton and Edwards.

And we'll see what happens on Super Tuesday, but don't expect Edwards to play a large part. As for the immediate future, the odds are very good that he'll come in first there. As Donna Brazile pointed out yesterday, Bill's comments are not endearing him or Hillary with the AA community. Should he keep it up, she's gonna start hemorrhaging the black vote.

158. Perhaps they've learned how to bullshit their way through an essay test
That's how her posts read. Like someone who didn't study the materials is trying to bullshit their way through a test.

I used to do that on occasion, hence I know what it looks like.

That's just plain sad.

It's impossible to enjoy a two way discussion with someone who adheres to a stubborn one-way analysis of another's non-verbal behaviors. Yes, it's just VAPID, PETTY .... and SAD. :(

What's with you?

What about her dance anyway? I saw it, but I don't understand why anyone would post about it without saying anything. I haven't been paying enough attention to know which candidate you support, but you sure aren't doing them any favors.

I thought it was charming and human. A strong component of the Democratic candidates in this election cycle.

What I don't find charming is stating that the candidate's children have a "disturbing need for attention". I see that as nothing more than mere baseless speculation. Very, very bad form.

Maybe we can leave the kids out of it and stick to the issues...

136. I'll give you the same advice I give my daughter.
If you are saying that people are misunderstanding your intent, you have to adjust the way you are expressing yourself.

In other words, maybe you're not a racist, but you are certainly are overwhelmingly giving that impression. That is plenty of reason to examine yourself and change the way you are communicating.

Verstehen?
