Here's a question that's easy to answer |
|
Have we had our fill of the Kerry/Edwards "can win/can't win/he's a liar/he's a saint/leads in NC/leads in MA" posts?
In a nutshell, the following things hold: a) one guy will win, and one won't b) the guy who is ahead has a better chance than the guy who is behind c) there are nice people on both sides who like both candidates, for good reasons d) there are also dickheads, who do likewise e) both candidates have strong points, and weak points f) supporters of both candidates think these weak points are non-existent g) a communist will probably not win the election h) hopefully, Bush won't either
Wake me if anyone says anything new.

There is also an old one that is coming back, "Since my candidate didn't (or won't) win the nomination, Dems are doomed" It is all about ego.
Let's face it, this kind of thing will continue until admins throw the switch and the new rules kick in. There are a lot of sore losers on this site, and I say that not in judgment, just as a fact. To be fair, there are also many who are gracious in defeat and have their eyes on the big picture of taking back the presidency.

5. Are new rules being talked about? |
|
That would be a very good thing if that is the case.

rules that prohibit the bashing of the Democratic nominee. They also prohibit third party people from campaigning for their candidate. They don't kick in until the nominee is official, which will either be in July or I guess from reading in the admins forum maybe sooner than that if Kerry were to amass the right number of delegates. It is up in the air at present when admins will decide.
