you can see that Edwards is holding back on his criticisms so that he doesn't hurt his VP chances. I can't blame him, I think he sees the writing on the wall.

the spotlight..I heard on a RW show that bush will attack Kerry but also has to focus on Edwards if Edwards stays in the race.....
bush will have to fight 2 fronts...and thats one thing he once told his father that was why he lost ol man bush had to fight Clinton and Perot.....(per Hatfield book)...they can't focus on 2 people at the same time..

...will can it with the favorable-to-Bush comparisons to Clinton. That's rather disgusting.
Later.

3. In the end, they are on the same team. |
|
They are largely avoiding the Prisoner's dilemma being set up for them by Larry King and his ilk by acting in the whole interest instead of self interest.

4. A distinct possibility |
|
but I think there are 2 other factors at play here:
1. John Edwards is trying to keep up his positive campaign and not bloody Kerry as the prospective nominee because we do need to oust Bush, above all.
2. John Kerry is trying to blur the distinctions between himself and Edwards; he's trying to keep Edwards from breaking out and distinguishing himself, which is smart, because if there's no difference than people are going to gravitate in higher numbers toward the frontrunner.

16. I would love it if Kerry named anyone but Clark for the VP spot |
|
Not because I dislike Clark (I am a former supporter), but rather because such a sizeable number of his fans here are such terrible human beings.

11. I don't like John Kerry |
|
we have to get Bush out but Kerry is not my dream candidate. He is too centrist and lacks any desire to exact REAL change for America.
I am baffled how he got to be on top having come from waaaaaaaaaay behind in just a few weeks????????????????? Whats up with this?
Look at him now, he's saying 'yes, some of those jobs will go overseas'.......??????????????????? HOLY COW, he's just the kinder, gentler arm of the conservative G.=GREEDY O.=OLD P.=PARTY. He isn't against NAFTA or globalism nor does he speak to the issues of the underclass. Will he even DO anything about that freaking medicare coup? OMG, it looks like with kerry, we have to go on living from paycheck to paycheck and living in substandard housing. If he gets into office, I am going to hold HIS feet to the fire the whole time. I shall also be looking for whom to vote in AFTER his term. What a huge disappointment Kerry is; albeit better than bush.

17. i'm glad you said he's a centrist--that's a winning description |
|
there is a REASON why rethugs are trying to pin him as a liberal---it doesn't translate to votes. so, NO, kerry is not going to say anything left of center--not if he wants to win. that's why we have al and dennis to give voice to these ideas.
we need to focus on the white house. and the road to the white house obviously goes through the economy, jobs, and healthcare. everything else is inconsequential until we swear in president kerry.

14. I'm seeing Edwards fading with each question |
|
Sorry, that's just the way I see it so far. Granted, I have a big prob. with Edwards over his continuing support for invading Iraq, but he seems to be just drowning here to me. Nothing personal, I'm a Dean person, I know what being on the recieving end of candidate smearing is like - I'm not doing that, just making an observation.
