You just gotta love Kerry...

he does seem like the dream candidate that everyone here is raving about, and I can certainly see why everyone here thinks he is so electable.

I can't wait to see who Kerry picks to run with him as VP. I sure hope it is Edwards.

By the way, I've deleted the DU slang dictionary. Since Kerry will obviously be voted in as president in Nov, I see no real reason to work on it or pay to have it posted on the web since most of it was Bush hating. We won't need that anymore... am I right!!!

1. Kerry is a dream candidate?
I think Kerry is okay, but he has a ton of negatives.

Kerry is no shoe-in against Bush. Infact, I suspect Bush would be the odds on favorite in that match up.

Just tonight with the subject of the death penalty coming up. I am not so sure a candidate against the dealth penalty has a chance to win a single southern state, not to mention many other states where the populations are in favor of the dealth penalty by large majorities.

that Kerry is no "dream candidate". He will have my support after Boston but he's not my pick.

9. Everyone wants the candidate to have balls...
...on the issues they care about, but not the others. I would be so happy to be able to vote for an anti-death penalty guy in November. I'm thrilled that I get to do it next Tuesday at the very least. It's been way too long since that opportunity has been offered.

6. The more I hear and see Kerry the more I really, really like him.
As Teresa said, he's like fine wine. But I differ in the choice of VP. I'm still hoping it's Clark.

8. I know you are being snide, but actually
yes... I'm warming up to Kerry. I was for Clark, and to tell the truth, I didn't pay much attention to Kerry in debates because I was hanging on every word my guy said. But I thought Kerry looked great, sounded great and had a lot of good answers to hard questions. He also bashes Bush a lot, which I really really like.

He will make a great candidate I am now convinced.

The Democratic party has lost its balls. What they've got instead is cotton candy. But if cotton candy is what it takes to oust the * then so be it. God bless America.

21. Kerry is pretty hardcore.
One doesn't get that much liberal than Kerry. Dean, in contrast, turned activists on with the vein-popping anger stuff, but didn't offer much liberalism policy-wise.

38. Let's not ruin a good word like "Liberal"
by attaching it to global corporatist fascist enablers. Hell, I actually feel bad for actual conservatives who get lumped in with the fascist "neo conservatives". In reality, these people (PNAC/PPI/DLC) are neither conservative nor liberal. Their agenda is fascist, so why not call them exactly that?

The sound of the door slamming on a anti-Iraqi war, non-establishment demo candidate and a test to see if Bush-like can get it done. I suggest a new demo slogan: 'WE'RE MORE FOR WAR THAN THE REPUBS!'

THis is what killed us before! We havent even won the election and we're already sleeping!

When Clinton/Gore won in 92, all of us went to sleep. When we woke up, it was Newt Gingrich's America, and Bill was the only Democrat standing.

DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!

I guess I'm just a way uncool nerd or something?

I guess I'm also not hip because I've never once threatened to vote for Nader nor have I posted a list of demands and stipulations in return for promising to vote for the Democratic candidate.

I'm just an old-school DUer who's been around since 2001. Flame me!

he's been a dependable progressive vote in the Senate. I'm adult enough to know no candidate is going to be perfect and getting rid of * is too important to stamp my feet and hold my breath over someone not perceived as an ideal.
