Poll question: The more important ABB question |

Edited on Fri Feb-27-04 01:31 AM by jpgray
Are you willing to give extensive feedback to the nominee, both during the campaign and ESPECIALLY if he is elected? To my mind, we are going to be voting for an imperfect candidate no matter who the nominee is, though some are less imperfect than others (DK :)). Knowing that much, the most important thing a progressive community can offer a nominee besides its votes is FEEDBACK. If we don't call, fax, and write the nominee constantly concerning the issues, we obviate our responsibility in this election. That's because I believe our responsibility goes beyond choosing the best candidate--it includes bugging the living hell out of the nominee WHEN, not if, he/she does something wrong, and giving praise when he/she does something right.
Do you agree with this? 40,000 calls, faxes and e-mails could be very persuasive.
