7. Beleive it or not, most Americans like to think of themselves
as something better than "Bubba & Bobby Joe". That sort of stereotype of rural & southern folks is more annoying to many people than actual support of gay rights.

If you want to stereotype fundies that way, fine - 99.9% of fundies are intolerant, ignorant bigots. However, there are MILLIONS of tolerant, totally cool people living in the sticks, wearing dirty baseball caps and speaking with drawls. I've known a few myself.
