7. Circling firing squad.... squabbling campaigns feed Drudge...
Edited on Sun Jan-13-08 06:14 PM by hlthe2b
We pick up the rhetoric and start a whole new chain of squabbles.... Rush Libot and others pick up the worst of our threads and promulgate it into RW talking points and finally the MSM propagates it, until it becomes conventional wisdom and seeds the voters.

Circling firing squad, indeed. Will we or can we wake up?

15. It's best to get the bad stuff out now. Then it is old news.
I don't worry about what the Republicans are saying now. I'm worried about what nobody knows or is saying now. How can we choose the best candidate if we don't talk about the choices, the pros and the cons.

19. I agree and I have no problem with what the (R) is saying
Thats called "vetting" and I would rather them start now than sit back and unleash in August.

If we have a candidate that proves to be a challenge to elect, then we need to know it BEFORE the primaries are complete, not after the convention.

Just the way it works, IMO.

24. It's the old strategy of trial lawyers. If you have a bad fact you
cannot exclude from evidence, you try to make sure you bring it up first. Don't let the other side frame the fact before you have a chance to frame it.

Edwards was pretty well vetted in 2004. They did not seem to have anything important on him. At least they did not have anything important enough to warrant throwing at him.

Hillary has been on the hot seat for years. They already have a lot on her. She and Bill have made a lot of money in a short time, so there could be a lot of new scandal on her plate.

Obama is the candidate who worries me in terms of bad facts that could suddenly come up say next October. He has never run against a tough candidate. Alan Keyes was not much competition. He has some problems. When you ask questions about Obama, you get attacked so severely, it's scary. That's almost reason enough not to vote for him. It is appropriate to defend your candidate. It is not appropriate to jump on everybody who asks questions or points to a negative about your candidate. It is especially inappropriate if you are dishing it out and then can't take it.

Yeppers. The word is getting out through the RW machine just the way we have been saying it would -- tied to Hillary.

17. Why wouldn't Drudge and Rush read the posts here? If I were them
I would conclude this place was a schoolyard with name-calling, put downs, racist and sexist remarks. DU is making a fool out of itself and its candidates.

20. I haven't hit Drudge Report since 2004 Selection...he's irrelevant...he's DEAD...and
like his RW "Support Group" Coulter,Barone and the rest of the RW Media Shills...they are dead...

Drudge's way of "Rising Up from the DEAD" is to try to have sychophants who read him go out on the blogs and post his misinformation, lies and filth on the Progressive Blogs and Sites.

DRUDGE IS DEAD! There's a STAKE IN HIM! Get OVER IT!
