How dare we
We are the Democratic party and I am ashamed that the media is portraying us as the party of racial division, because our candidates can't fight their own battles.

Hillary has not, nor will, say something racist.

Obama has not, nor will, say something sexist.

Hillary is no Martin Luther King. Barack Obama is no Lyndon Johnson (the analogy is increasingly more apt, too, which is getting bizarre).

Hillary needs to accept the fact that she is going to lose South Carolina and possibly Nevada and plan from there.

Obama needs to stop the double talk of the politics of hope and bipartisanship while slinging mud whenever he gets the chance.

Our politicians, I've said on this board again and again, are not Saints.

Who is worse? Neither. They are playing the same game, and its fucking shameful.

Clinton - stop trying to play winner and loser simultaneously.

Obama - grow up and fight real battles.

I'm a Clinton supporter.

Thanks.

____

So Clinton is trying to sob and say she is winning and her path is the right one. At the same time, she is playing this game that excuses her surrogates.

Obama is taking stuff out of context and making mountains out of molehills. Prior to this game, Clinton polled better among African Americans than he, so he's playing a game here.

20. I think you missed this quote:
"Obama needs to stop the double talk of the politics of hope and bipartisanship while slinging mud whenever he gets the chance."

And just a wee bit more negative than your worst Clinton criticism: "she's playing winner and loser". Oh, struck in the heart on that one.

Nice partisanship!

Tragically they are both being hypocrites.

End o' story. Can you acknowledge your candidate's hypocracy(sp)?) because I am acknowledging my candidates

11. 714, it gives me great pleasure to see threads and posts of reasoned ...
statements. We have had a rough 3 or so weeks of really outlandish attacks. Is that not enough?

We had better start protecting our three candidates or we will lose them all...and the election as well.

Yeah, this outrageous post comes from a Hillary supporter. But I shall vote for our nominee without reservations.

9. But it isnt (just) them
Clinton and Obama are fanning these flames because if voter turnout is lowered, it favors Clinton (hence Clinton's attacking). And Obama is trying to show off how much he can fight, even though he can;t, but inventing battles and then "winning" them

8. Sounds like the mainstream media
Assign blame equally so you don't have to take a stand.

Obama has not slung any mud and has not said anything sexist.

Hillary did say something that was perceived by James Clyburn to come pretty close to racist.

Once we get the facts straight, it's easy to move forward.

18. Nobody said she was
What was said, by Clyburne, was that she needed to be a bit more cautious about her remarks. SHE said the Obama campaign was accusing her of being racist when they hadn't said a word.

19. I dont know
It seems out of character for her. She doesnt want to have a debate on race, so why bring it up at all?

I have a feeling this is Obamanufactured, which is no worse than what Clinton has done with her in IA and NH

Hence feeling. Call it intuition.

But if this was an election about "facts", it'd be a rout. I mean all elections are about feelings anyway.

28. Do you question
that the Democratic party is currently busy destroying its own?

I'm saying GOOD things.

Clinton is not racist. Obama is not sexist. What I feel is grotesque is the fact that they are trying to make a divide where there really is none - because their records are identical

23. truth hurts...
there has been more than enough evidence that there is a racial divide, well, at least on DU. I wouldn't worry about it. If DU is in any way representative of the population, or the democratic party for that matter, there is no way in hell a bunch of bigots are going to vote for him, but have fun!

33. I think some revel in their...
willful arrogant ignorance. They build up these false identities where they believe they are superior, due to the geographic location of their birth, the color of their skin, or their Jesus. I live in the real world, but I choose not to associate with this caliber of humanity.
