Can we all just agree on ONE thing? |
|
Just to say I made a post on here that NO "real" DUer can object to.
Won't it be GREAT to get that filthy good for nothing war mongering criminal out of the White House. Oh, and Bush too.
I mean seriously, regardless if it is Clinton, Obama, or Edwards (sorry Kucinich supporters... although he would be great too) We are going to have a Democratic President, House & Senate.
We can finally get some things done, and perhaps, just perhaps restore our Constitution and liberties.
I seriosly just look forward to the primaries getting over with so we can all go back to liking each other again.

2. Kind of a hollow victory in my opinion |
|
because we let time expire. Nothing else.
The bastards should have been impeached.
Let's hope they really DO leave when the term is up... and that whoever replaces them doesn't continue with their failed and evil policies.
So, while I'll be glad they are gone... it will matter a lot to me who replaces them.
I'm very scared of a Huckabee or a Ghouliani, and maybe even a McCain.
And I'm afraid that even if we get someone with D after his or her name elected, they won't set about undoing all that been done to the constitution. At least, that isn't a big speech thing on the campaign trail for any of the three front runners. I remain hopeful that they will, but...

4. The post was supposed to imply... |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 01:26 AM by mrdemocrat78
that we'd have a democratic president... which would eliminate Huckabee or Rudy or McCain.
AND... who says they can't try the bastards for war crimes?
You know what's funny, I had a dream that after all this, Bush ended up ruling Iraq, and then we bombed the hell out of him.

5. Yes, we'll have a Dem Prez. No, nothing will get done. |
|
Well, some things will change, but nothing substantive.
Washington is Washington, and none of our "annointed" are going to change that...hell, they don't want to.

7. I'll believe it when they repeal the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act. |
|
If all they do is win office and then claim to not violate anyone's freedom while simultaneously not trying to remove these laws from the books, then they deserve to be sacked and replaced with someone who does respect the Bill of Rights.
