Obama supporters: please defend him as an economic progressive HERE |
|
I am looking for SPECIFICS to defend Obama's economic record.
Paul Krugman wrote: "I know that Mr. Obama’s supporters hate to hear this, but he really is less progressive than his rivals on matters of domestic policy." In particular: Obama's economic plan "emphasizes across-the-board tax cuts over both aid to the hardest-hit families" and, compared to the others, his economics is 'tilted to the right'.
If you support Obama, please provide specifics on this issue (and maybe post them in the Obama group). Who are Obama's economic/domestic policy advisors? Does he have any progressives in his circle? Are his economic proposals really "across-the-board tax cuts"?
There has been other discussion of this - but I hope this thread can provide very specific information.
