Breaking: DNC Joins Culinary Union to Stop Disenfranchisement in NV

While we were distracted watching the Debate, Howard Dean's DNC has joined the Culinary Union in defending the at-large caucuses. Here is their motion.

How will this impact the Nevada Caucus?

This lawsuit sums up the current divide in the Democratic Party. On one side you have the Clintons and the other Howard Dean, Barack Obama and John Edwards. Hopefully, this will get solved quickly and not fracture the party.

2. Not blaming you, but that Kos headline is a bit off the mark
Edited on Wed Jan-16-08 01:30 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
(I know it's the Kos headline, and it the correct head for your post)

The culinary union is not a party to the suit. The Democratic party of Nevada is.

The Democratic National Committee is backing the Nevada Democratic Party, which makes plenty of sense.

(The DNC would not be likely to back the culinary union versus the teachers union, or visa versa, but that's not the situation)

5. Good for the DNC. Recommended.
I bet no other DNC chair had to fight as many lawsuits. The Bill Nelson one, the Vic Dimaio one, perhaps the one from Steve Geller, the one by the gay community which is heating up and even spreading private emails from DNC staffers. Such a shame.

Kudos to the DNC for this.

8. I have to say it
Howard Dean has proven to be one helluva chair and would have made an excellent President.
