1. Yes, Kerry Is Disenfranchising You
Your vote is meaningless and it is Kerry's fault. Stay home.

21. Totally!
I mean, come on, Bush wasn't THAT bad, right? I mean, he didn't, like, mobilize lots and lots of people to leave the right for the center with his alienating stance on a lot of issues or anything.

Non-sarcastic: let's remember that a lot of people, moderate Dems and Repubs, see Kerry as too liberal. We can all sit around a bark at each other about how Kerry is a pink tutu Dem and all, but to a grand chunk of the country, Kerry's a flaming liberal pinko commie. It's all subjective.

And if there was really no difference between Bush and Kerry, the Bush team wouldn't be spending their campaign money on fighting the guy.

18. So if YOU were in Germany in the 1930s would you have voted for...
Hitler, or the guy who voted to enable Hitler's agenda?

Neither is acceptable to me.

7. Voting is your job as an American.
I don't know if you posted because you don't like John Kerry and he's going to win anyway, or if you should skip because John will in all likelihood win- but I think you should anyway. It's quick, easy, and painless. People have literally killed to have the oppurtunity to vote (even for the losing person). Go vote anyway.

10. Voting is a must if we are to keep our republic.
It is our civic duty in a democracy--one that too many have given over to the special interests--when we vote, we win.

8. In the Primary or the GE?
You have options in the primary still so I don't know why you're posting this. Plenty of ways to send messages and give voice to your positions during the primary season even if someone who isn't your first choice looks to be the nominee. That's something a lot of people around here better get used to because there are going to be a lot more elections (we hope) in the future and I'm betting that several of them will, over our lifetimes, be among people who aren't our first choices.

As for not voting in the GE...that's easy...if you liked the last 4 years do whateve the hell you want. If you didn't like the last 4 years then do something that makes a change...not pissing in the wind, hollering down a well, writing in mickey mouse that doesn't even get noticed...but something that will be counted and have at least some chance of making a change.

Seems simple enough to me. A vote for Kerry (IF he is the nominee) is a change from Bush...end of line.

11. Only if you are certain he is going to win
But how can you be certain? If you aren't going to hack the voting machines, you probably can't be certain. Unless of course Kerry has already obtained the minimum # of delegates. But even in that case, and to get some practice in for November, you should still vote. I mean, voting is a right AND a privilege. Don't ever pass on the opportunity.

17. The Democratic Party died and the DLC/RNC/mediawhores cancelled them.
And while he's not my preferred choice, I'm hoping Edwards kicks ass on Tuesday :)

27. If any annointing was done by the media, it was for Dean, not Kerry
The media admitted they missed the boat, and did not realize that John Kerry was winnning the heart, minds and votes of Iowa Democrats.

After all, the last three years were a breeze. No worries, peace and prosperity, happiness everywhere....Ah, I Loves You, Georgy!

FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS!

If everyone was as smart as me, they'd all stay away from the voting booth in November and just let the US "stay the course." After all, I don't really NEED a job. Or social security. And I love war! Blam blam blam! Rat at tat tat!

Man, I hope those "end times" hurry up and get here already! Come on, Rapture!

22. Definitely vote
In the primary, vote your heart. It is your best chance to speak up for the direction that you want the Democratic party to take.

In the general, vote your head. You KNOW that Bush is a disaster, and even if you are lukewarm about Kerry or Edwards, if you don't think they're the least bit better than Bush, then you're not paying attention.

I'm staying home too.

I can't wait until my wife delivers a baby afflicted with severe birth defects from all the mercury she ingested during her pregnancy because Bush rewrote all our environmental laws and disbanded the EPA.
