What's next for John Edwards?
Run for governor of NC? Senate seat? DNC chairman?

Personally, I think he'll retire from public life for a while in order to spend time with his family. Still relatively young, it'll be iteresting to see what he does next.

1. I think he's going to win the nomination. How many states are left now? nt

13. Really? What state will he compete in?
I'm not trying to be snarky, or condescending, but I dont understand what state he can win. He is now trailing back in third by 15 points in NC, and his birth state has him 25-30 points back of Obama.

3. My guess is he shows up in Denver this fall with some very committed
delegates.

Which could make the nominee race real interesting on the convntion floor.

8. Is the governorship of NC open?
It could give him the executive experience to build another presidential race on.... ??? Or not.

I'm still praying for a miracle in Denver.

9. Easley might not run for reelection
The problem is Edwards' apparent unpopularity in NC.

12. What's next? I think the Edwards family will be moving into the White House.
There are a lot of states that still haven't voted.

In case you haven't noticed, Edwards looks pretty good in a few of them. I think people are going to get sick and fed up with The Adventures of Barack and Hillary Show sooner or later, and when they do they will look elsewhere.

Obama has some rather ominous things coming out about his relationship with Rezko, which could be his undoing. If people perceive him to be dirty, he will lose support. And a lot of it will go to Edwards.

As the economy worsens in the coming weeks and months, people will desire change even more than they do now. Edwards is clearly the change candidate. The others say they are, but Edwards is the only one who has put his money where his mouth is.

When Hill and Barack give back all those donations from lobbyists to prove they're going to change the status quo in Washington, let me know...
