Your Super Tuesday predictions: Make Them here
I predict John Edwards who always closes fast towards the end will win in Georgia and Maryland--and will upset John Kerry in Ohio. He will also do better than expected in California. If he wins all three of these states it will be considered a good night for Edwards.

I think DK will come in second in Massachusetts and additionally will get above the 15% threshold in Minnesota, Vermont, and Ohio.

I think Howard Dean will pick up some delegates on Tuesday even though he suspended his campaign--most likely in Vermont and Minnesota.

1. The Minnesota Deanies have gone to Edwards mostly.
That should make Edwards competitive there.

16. I was at the meeting.
There were about 40-50 diehard Deaners there.

At the end of the evening, I'd say about 80% raised their hands for Edwards.

From the rest, about two people raised their hands for Kucinich.

The rest were for Dean.

Edwards might have a chance.

7. Here it is, overall
Kerry AND Edwards = 70%
Dean 25%
Kucinich AND Sharpton 5%

Dean only dropped out to lower Super Tuesday expectations! :~)

8. Except for Minnesota
It's virtually a three-way tie here between Kerry, Edwards and Kucinich. Even the chair of the state party says it's too close to call at this point.

I may even be so bold as to predict that Kucinich could win Minnesota. If not, he will definately be above 15%.

:D

13. Most of the Dems I know are voting Kucinich
My neighbor has a huge Kucinich sign in the window.

I'm from MN and anything could happen in the only state (excluding DC) that went for Mondale/Ferraro in 1984.

35. I've been doing GOTV for Dean since last Summer
My friend ran for office in 2003, and we endorsed Dean and carried his lit with us.

We are voting for Kucinich.

I bet in NYS, Kerry will only get 60% of the vote (Only! lol). Edwards, Kucinich, Dean, and Sharpton can make up some ground.

10. Edwards will do well in Maryland, Georgia and Ohio, but
I'm not sure he'll win them. Hopefully, he'll do well enough to go to the convention. I think it should be brokered so I hope I get my wish.

23. If you honestly believe that Kerry will be the end all and be all...
you are sadly mistaken. I am simply hoping for a good steward of the country. Anything more will be bonus, but I don't expect it. John Kerry is not a remarkable man or a remarkable politician.

24. Funny how so many voters can be so wrong
Edited on Sun Feb-29-04 08:45 PM by zulchzulu
Kerry has won 18 out of 20 states, many by double digits.

Surely they must not have the supreme knowledge you must have.

And the 10 states that will go to Kerry on Tuesday must just be some kind of hallucination perhaps.

28. Electibility covers a gambit of concerns
It is not just horse race calculation but a judgement on the totality of the qualities of these candidates. Voters can read the records and they make good judgements. At least Democrats do. :D

26. NO CHANCE IN HELL EDWARDS WINS OHIO
I am in Ohio, and just spent hours and hours phone banking for Kerry.

Edwards will be in my city tomorrow. Really, he will only be at the airport because NONE of the union halls would give him space for a rally.

If union halls in Ohio refuse to give you space, you are toast here.

Phone banking--200 calls made today, one said she supported Edwards, but I talked her out of it. She wasn't aware that he didn't have any foreign policy experience. She is now voting for Kerry.

I am a Clarkista now supporting Kerry, and I can assure you Edwards will not win Ohio.

My Super Tuesday prediction:

John Kerry wins all of the primaries March 2. Edwards won't even win Georgia.

31. Latest polls show
Kerry starting to widen his lead over Edwards in Ohio as well.

Latest Columbia dispatch poll for that state:

Kerry 59%
Edwards 28%
Kucinich 5%

2/19-28/04 MoE 2%

http://www.dcpoliticalreport.com/CurrentPolls.htm

This polls was done over a relatively long period of time, ten days, so it is more hiilghy indicative of wht is going on over time than the other polls which cover a two or three day period.

Perhaps Georgia as well.

He'll certainly pick up quite a few delegates from CA.

However, I'm sure Kerry will win most of them.
