today. Ask me anything.
Just got home from Mercer University in Macon, GA where Bill Clinton was campaigning for Hillary and taking questions from the audience. My oldest daughter is president of the Young Democrats on Campus and helped work the event.
To get in, one had to fill out form which became their ticket, and one had to sign that they would vote for Hillary. I signed the form. But, I was lying.
On edit: I must say that he was impressive in his advocacy for his wife, and if she gets the nomination I'll vote for her...I just hope she can win if that's the case.
Another edit: I'm going to see him again next week at this meeting:
www.newbaptistcovenant.org
I've purchased luncheon tickets to hear Al Gore's presentation on Global Climate Change. (Of course, I'll have to suffer through listening to Lindsay Graham and Chuck Grassley in that meeting. :puke: )

5. I don't know. And, I don't know if other Dem candidates are |
|
doing the same kind of thing. Thing is---by signing your name to a statement like that, it puts it in your subconcious that you either vote for her or you're a liar.
Well, today, I lied. I won't vote for her in the primary.

to meet--rest his soul) was a die-hard politically active Republican who dragged me to every Republican meeting there was. I shook hands with Reagan and Lamar Alexander and Howard Baker and John Connoly, and Richard Nixon etc.
Listening to their speeches is what made me a Democrat.
But, it is fun.

"I will vote for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming primary." And then the campaign worker made you sign and date it before handing it to you.

22. Both of my daughters are Obama supporters... |
|
I found the demographics interesting. The black females in the audience were very enthusiastic for Clinton. The white females were more undecided, or leaned toward Obama (at least all the ones I talked to.)
I asked my daughter afterward if she had changed her mind, and she said, "No. I'm still voting for Obama."
BTW, I'm voting for Edwards.
