Why Men Hate Obama
The other post on why women hate Clinton says she's running as a man so women hate her. So while we're talking about why groups hate candidates, I'll weigh in on why men hate Obama.

Men hate Obama because he's a lightweight on national security. He doesn't acknowledge real threats in the world and instinctively that translates into weakness and getting us all killed.

He can't be pinned down on issues and is more of a free floating touchy feely type of candidate who appeals to non specific concepts like hope and change. That doesn't go over either. Men don't like Oprah candidates.

1. Thank you! Women are not Smurfettes -- we're 51% of the population
Just because we've been marginalized by the system doesn't mean we think as narrowly.

7. Not to mention 57% of the vote in the NH Dem primary

Women are going to play a huge part in this election, a part that I think is being underestimated.

9. Published in April 26 2007...since then, it is a proven fact that older women are voting Clinton...
and not choosing Obama (could be his misogynistic tendencies).

15. Yes, which the post linked to and discussed.
This post is merely starting another thread to refute that thread. And it's inflammatory.

19. The nimrod who wrote that post discussed the fact that the article was from "April 26, 2007"?
Where? That nimrod only linked the article and left it up to the reader to find out WHEN it was written. Since that time, that article has been dis~proven. I didn't read anything about that in the OP.

21. I didn't say he discussed the date. The article was linked and discussioned in the thread
I'm not arguing the merit of the article in question. There was adequate discussion of the article on the original thread.

Did DU somehow run out of room on the original thread to further disprove this article?

THIS thread is inflammatory and unnecessary. It only exists to further engage in an argument from another thread.

22. This isn't my thread, but it is disingenuous to think the nimrod of the other thread...
didn't intend to have readers think the article was current. The intention was clear: Women hate Senator Clinton...NOW.

8. I dislike him because of his close association with anti-gay bigots
His policies or stated plans with regards to national security don't figure in to my evaluation of him. And "hate" is far too strong a word; he it too insignificant in my life to merit hate.

13. It's similar to polling data on "why women hate Hillary." Both have polled ahead with men
at different times.

17. Because Clinton says I'm the strongest on national security does not make it so.
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 03:46 PM by Skwmom
They will easily portray Clinton as a poll-taking commander in chief (and this will bring military spouses and family members out in droves to support McCain).

She can't attack McCain for voting for the worst debacle in U.S. history b/c guess what - she voted for it. Plus McCain has two sons serving in the military.

They'll run cartoons of Clinton being told that we've been attacked, does she want to see the intelligence reports. She'll say intelligence reports? Bring me the polls (which will remind Americans that she didn't even bother to read the intelligence reports in the run up to the Iraq War and that the Clintons govern by polls). Oh but she can find time to read and distort a transcipt of Obama's interview with a paper. With something as important as going to war, you think she could have found time to read the reports.

Obama is the only one who can hang the Iraq War around McCain's neck like an anchor. He can hammer him on the loss of life and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ wasted, etc.

18. That article also brilliantly pointed out that Obama was running a more feminine campaign
so therefore, men probably hate Obama because he's such a girl.

Makes as much sense as that article did, right?
