4. I'll vote for popcorn on this one. Now, Kennedy vs. Clinton...there's a match...
I'd be willing to place a bet on.

And I'd go with Kennedy. Bill's looking a little "tired" lately.

and then he lost the election. He also chose Joe for his running mate. Get as life.

6. I don't wish for either of them to fight.
There has been so much division already. And I admire Al Gore so much I would just turn away from it. It's like wishing which of your parents would win in a fight. I don't want the fight in the first place.

This is the worst idea I've heard about all day.

Is Gore Obama's spouse?

30. Olbermann's guest yesterday talked about the need in current media
to create a "conflict," in the context of framing a news story as a drama. Conflicts are inherently interesting, he went on to say. It's no surprise that the words exchanged between Hillary and Barack has gotten such coverage, and newscasters are thrilled with it. News organizations don't much like it when public figures get along.

I am so happy that Al Gore is where he is, doing so much good for the world, and out of the meatgrinder that has become of US politics.

36. I just had an interesting thought
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 08:35 PM by HughMoran
Some of my best friends were the people I had knock-down-drag-out fights with. Wouldn't it be awesome if they became "tight" after the primary and we end up with a Hillary-Obama or Obama-Hillary ticket? This would be a good ticket since the VP would have a great shot at the WH after 8 years of the other. Ahhh, I can dream can't I? :D

Dreams like this are good. They mean we wish the best for the world, and everyone around us, instead of the nightmare we've been having.

7. I thought you were for Obama? Why bring Al Gore into this...he's not coming in..
much as many of us would want him too...there's either a deal he wouldn't come in with the Clintons...or he looked it over and didn't want to do it because of "family reasons."

He's okay where he is...and America already has Obama/Edwards/Kucinich as Crusaders..so what could he do but Fuck Up his new life? Why are you doing this...it's painful for us Gore supporters.

34. Actually Gore was never a liberal
He is a great man, but he was the candidate the DLC ran for President in 1988. He was for the DLC economic issues and supported giving aid to the Contras.

17. Why would you expect Al Gore to lower himself down to that level?
It is obvious some here then have no respect for the man. Is that all this process means to you? This is exactly what he wrote as part of the toxic political process in The Assault On Reason. Remember, that book everyone praised when they thought he was running? Nobel Peace Prize recipients are above this petty crap and so are some of us out here. Too bad so many can't see that beyond their own zeal to be "entertained."

Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 07:29 PM by fujiyama
but the last thing Al Gore wants to deal with is the Clinton and their machine and I don't blame him. For the Clintons it's all about them before anything else. Clinton thought Gore's populism cost him the election and wanted Kerry to support individual state gay marriage amendments. Kerry and Gore are both better men than Clinton. Both have honor and dignity and character, none of which Clinton has.

As of late, I have lost almost all respect I had for Bill Clinton.

39. Edwards maybe but not Clinton in a million years.
Bill fucked him over with his dalliance in the Oval Office and then the Clintons went on to compound the insult by stealing his fundraising mojo in 2000 for her Senate race. It's pretty well known that things are icy, to say the least, between the Gores and the Clintons.
