Edwards pre-buttal about the SOTU and sad Dem response...

"And the president will walk into the Congress, to the United States House of Representatives, and he'll give a speech about his stimulus plan to try to stimulate the economy.

3. Of course it's a charade. Always has been.

My wife is a Polish national, and she was raised in the old communist days there. When she was little, their "president" (dictator) was a guy named Gomuka. She told me once a year he would get on Polish TV and make podium thumping speeches about the failure of "Kapitalismu Amerikanski!" (american capitalism) as the crowds (hand picked) cheered for two hours. Tonight, she watched her first SOTU since she became an American Citizen.

She was very disgusted with Bush, but I told her not to worry - she had just seen the "American Gomuka Moment".

That's all it is, folks. All it will ever be.
