Is there a generation gap between our two candidates? |
|
Obama's about my age, born in '61 and Clinton is 60. I wonder how this affects the way they are perceived . . . how the way they communicate is affecting different age groups?

7. right. there are so many other (important) things on which to base support on |
|
but, I was thinking of the way they generate interest and hold it on the basis of their own personalities and posture . . . whether the gap in their ages affected the way their messages may be received.

5. It's more a difference in style than age imo... |
|
There's only 14 years between them, but they appeal to different groups. Some older people I've talked to (70+) find Obama's glib humor disrespecful.

8. The effects probably can't be generalized, but I've noticed a definite difference in styles |

The differences may be insignificant to their overall appeal, but, I do see differences.
