"It took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush.....
"it might take a Clinton to clean up after the second one."

Now THAT was a "Where's the beef" line.'

She turned that question right on its ear.

That line is going down in history books.

34. Clinton CLEANED up after Poppy Bush and that is WHY we ended up with Bush2.
And YES - Hillary WILL provide the same type of 'cleaning' service for the Bushes that Bill provided throughout the 90s.

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

And that will be a horrible thing for this nation.

31. 72% Approval the week the House Voted to Impeach
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 09:26 PM by BeatleBoot
Then, of course, all charges were dropped in the Senate and he never really was impeached.

But a 72% Approval during his worst week as president.

I'd call that almost unheard of.

11. That might mean more if the previous Clinton actually HAD cleaned up.
But in truth he just lifted the edge of the rug and swept it all under, out of sight. BCCI. Iran/Contra. The REAL reasons for GulfI.

If he HAD cleaned up after Bush I there never would have been a Bush II.

20. It will go down in history, all right.
That is exactly the kind of too-clever-by-half response that will elect John McCain if Clinton(s) is the nominee.

Too many Clinton(s) supporters here are living in a political junkies bubble. I talk to a lot of average, non-political voters and this Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton(s) notion is just something they don't like, they see it as undemocratic.

37. That's why it came down to 513 votes in Florida? The Clinton's ?
I've heard it all now.

Wow. Unreal.

I can think of a million other things.

1) Nader

2) Gore not asking for a full recount of the entire state

3) The infamous butterfly ballot

4) Gore asking Clinton to stay away from the race.

Just to name a few....

Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 05:44 PM by pat_k
. . .to give us the first Bush.

And it took Clinton's failure to go after Bush I for obstructing justice that enabled the fascists to regroup and re-emerge.

Given the depths those failures have brought us to, I shudder to contemplate what's ahead if the current Congress continues to refuse to impeach.

I'd like to direct your attention to Iran-Contra, the CIA cocaine distribution and the BCCI scandal.

All started by Bush I. All covered up by Clinton I.
