Freeper: I will vote for Obama if McCain is the candidate
"I sure don’t want him to wait, I want him to go for it all the way.

Heck, if Romney doesn’t win the nomination, I am thinking of voting for a democrat for the first time in my 59 years of life...I would like it if Hilary was not on the ticket.

What the heck, the country is going down the toilet anyway...might as well flush it twice."

The freepers HATE him. That's what cracks me up when I read this forum. The same idiots who say "I won't vote for X" are just flipside of the Freepers.

Don't bother reading any of the other threads with the "whimsical" nick~names they have for Barack...those freepers aren't the real conservatives.

14. Same thing in this corner of the state!
Knoxville - East, it's pretty much decided amongs Indies and disgruntled Repugs that they will vote for Obama over McCain/Romney. However, most of them also qualify that with they will vote McCain/Romney over Hillary.

5. Wooo!
Go McCain!

The only problem is, do you think that the Conservative base will vote for him to vote AGAINST Clinton if she's the nominee?

10. HERE IS ANOTHER
“I am worried about the young, hip Obama vs surly, angry old man McCain in future debates, though... so many (stupid) voters go for style over substance, as we all know...”

Romney VS Obama.....I vote Romney
Romney VS Hillary...I vote Romney
McCain VS Obama.....I vote Obama
McCain VS Hillary...I vote Fred Thompson

16. Holeee crap! I was just about to post that one. That's huge.
The McCain hate in the Republican party is so huge that some would rather vote Obama than McCain!

This cements why I'm for Obama.

13. The far right despises McCain. I'm sure the Dems all have their
radios tuned to right wing radio, because they are all making all the opposition points for them.

17. Freeper: I've been hearing on Rush people will vote for Obama over McCain!

Wow, I've been hearing a lot of the same on FR, callers to Rush's, Sean Hannity's, Howie Carr's and other conservative talk radio shows. I think we're screwed in November 2008, because it's sure looking like the GOP candidate is going to be McCain...

18. It's not just McCain...
Romney and Huck are also low on conservatives minds. McCain detests conservatives and has rejected them at just about every opportunity he's had; but Romney and Huck hold positions that run fairly counter to conservatives, for different reasons.

If McCain wins the GOP nomination, barring some Hail Mary by Ron Paul, whoever the Dems put up for the race will win in a landslide.

The thing is, most conservatives re-elected Bush simply on the argument of, "Well, you don't want John Kerry to be running things, do you?" But conservatives are, at least judging by posts, not buying into that rhetoric. Karl Rove once said, "Where else are they gonna go?", and he'll find out the answer to that question in this election, IMO.

21. Overall they pretty much all seem resigned to the fact that the Dems are going to win
This election might just become a Diebold proof lock.
