Did Hillary hint at an "out" for keeping troops in Iraq? |
|
When Bill Clinton took office in 92 didn't he come out and say he couldn't keep some of his pledges because the government books were much worse than he had originally though. Tonight, Clinton said something about getting access to Pentagon information or something along those lines. To me it sounds like she's leaving an opening for reneging on her stated position of withdrawing the troops.
Did anyone else catch that?

1. She has never said she would withdraw all troops. |
|
Check her statements, they're worded very carefully. She will "begin" to withdraw troops, etc.

We can't commit to getting X number of troops out until we are in charge and can open the books at the Pentagon and see what we have there.
Which, of course, is bullshit. Within a hundred troops or so, just about everyone in the Senate knows what troops and assets are there. So does the media.

4. I wish some people would understand that Hillary is a hawk. |

Her campaign is bankrolled to a large extent by the defense industry.

5. I know she's a hawk. If it comes down to two hawks - one who |

voted for the war because he thought it was the right thing to do and one who voted to further her career, I think McCain will trounce Clinton.
