Poll question: So, what did you think about the moderators for tonight's Dem debate? |
|
Just wanted to comment that I thought the two alternate questioners in tonight's debate were somewhat refreshing, both relative to past debates overall and in relation to Blitzer -- perhaps especially relative to Blitzer. They managed to ask their questions in a straightforward manner without trying to draw attention to themselves, and seemed to avoid the typical gotcha and scandal questions we've seen in every previous debate.
So, what'd you think?

1. The panel stunk it up. They were much better last night. |

Wolf sucks and the others were weak, too.

3. Yeah, I thought they asked better, tougher questions. |
|
Of course, getting crazy John McCain steamed up and complaining like Popeye isn't that hard a task, and Mitt gets all testy when he's contradicted.

6. He's nuts! I can't wait to run against him this fall. |
|
He's just getting revved up good, too. He'll be playing with steel balls and mumbling about strawberries by October.

9. Dang! That reference I don't get. Need to hit my DVD library. |
|
And, yeah, I had some concern about running against McCain a while back, but he's sounding genuinely crazed... and I expect The Surge(TM) is going to be exposed before the election, deflating his campaign's only strength.

Without really thinking it through hehe it's late here. I thought that Wolf was horrible and goading... in fact I thought they were all horrible and goading. There were some good questions but the whole thing came off as even more of a push-poll than the other debates this season.
I think that all debates like this shouldn't have an audience and should be read out by robot voice with each candidate getting the same question. Otherwise it's just more control for the media who ultimately just want to sell adspace and see their handlers happy.

13. "with each candidate getting the same question" |
|
Yes, I've been thinking about this. Except, in order to be able to compare the candidates, they'd need to be asked the questions separately, either during separate questioning sessions, or with each candidate slipping in and out of a cone of silence. (not terribly presidential)

15. Sucked bad, especially Blitzer |
|
he was absolutely horrible. They should've had Anderson Cooper, he handled the rethug debate as a professional.
