He is competing with her, after all, and she defused that one with humor that won the crowd.

9. Maybe he was thinking about Iran-Contra----the last time a Clinton "cleaned up" after a Bush
That's what I was thinking about, and it got me pretty sour.

27. Because Clinton did not push to get all the facts out on that
after Bush pardoned everyone indicted or likely to be indicted. All those Iran/Contra people are now all over our government and media. Part of the problem is that though Clinton had no involvement in the illegal support of the Contras - he and HRC were publicly sympathetic to supporting the Contras. In the 1980s, it took courage to say that it was wrong and work to end those covert wars.

26. Cleaning house obviously meant sweeping Poppy's crap under the rug and pulling the republican
policies down off of the shelf and dusting them off.

Had they investigated, instead of "cleaning up", we wouldn't have had 8 years of Bush II.

29. The camera of Clinton made obama look mean
IT was such that he appeared to be holding his head aloof and looking down his nose at her for much of the debate.

30. I don't know WHAT his reaction was.....
As I recall it, and I could be entirely wrong, the camera pulled back, and I couldn't see his reaction if I were a Superhero.

I thought Bernstein's (or as it Bennett?) comments were childish. "A CLINTON cleaning up????" He knew exactly what she meant, but had to bring it back to Monica, Monica, Monica again. Will they EVER let it go? Why doesn't the MSM ever bring up MCCain's affair. He skates on by with that one, don't he? I wonder if Newt ever ran, would they have ever brought up him asking for a divorce from his wife lying in a hospital bed?

Hillary had the line of the night.

And as a Hillary supporter, this is the first debate I actually enjoyed - BOTH of them. I finally got a grasp of the issues without all the sniping and fighting.

These are two very intelligent people.
