The Debate vs. Lost
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 02:31 AM by andyrowe
{title edited from "The Debate Was Great But..."}

I just remembered that weird show Lost had its season premiere tonight airing at the same time as the debate. It's kind of sad knowing most people will only hear a soundbyte or two from the debate if that.

1. Was anyone torn between watching Lost or the debate?
And yes this is a shameless self-kick. *blush*

2. Many did both
We watched Lost and then the debate which was rerun on CNN. Was not live, and Comcast's ads cut into some of the debates, but at least we got the main point.

Others watched the debate and recorded Lost.

4. I dropped my dvr service
I really miss it too. I just figured out how to record shows on my computer though (pci tv card). A test run recording of the debate has yielded me a 1.8gb mpeg of awesomeness. It even has me contemplating creating my own "best-of" clips. I need to find a better format to record files into however. I will toy with an avi format next.

8. I am a dinosaur
Still using an old VCR which skips commercials - most of them - for taping what I cannot watch.

3. I don't watch sitcoms
But i tivo'd the debate. I don't think I should have to watch commercials when I pay 100 bucks a month for freakin cable.

6. Those who watched the GOP debate last night ...
... already saw "Lost". Nobody likes reruns.
