Obama. And guess what, I am not young. I am 58. I want to see this country and my children and my grandchildren have a fresh start. I believe that now is the time for this country to turn around. I really feel it in my gut that this is the man to do the job. Would I vote for Edwards if he was still in? In a heartbeat!! But he isn't and he has made that clear. I want my vote to count because it is necessary for it to count. Can I live with Hillary? Yes, but I do not feel she is the right one for this period of time. So...on Feb 5th, in NYS I will be voting Obama!!

I could have made a statement and voted for Edwards anyway, but I want my vote to count too.

5. In Mass. leaning towards...
Obama as well. I don't agree with him on everything but his position on Iraq impresses me. The war has been a complete disaster, and I thought Obama has demonstrated the most consistency on this issue, speaking out against it at a time when it was NOT a popular thing to do. HRC can do nothing but dance around it falling into the John Kerry position of "I was for it before I was against it" crap...

7. Sen. Levin also has denied his bill would have put the decision to go to war in the UN's hands.
This resolution doesn't determine that we won't go alone if the United Nations does not promptly act to authorize force," Levin said on the Senate floor on October 4, 2002. "It withholds judgment on that very different and difficult issue. It does provide that the President can convene us quickly to authorize going it alone should the U.N. fail to act."

6. I am 56 and I am voting for Obama
on Tuesday as well. America needs change; and although Hillary is a strong and capable candidate, she does represent the kind of change in Washington that will be needed to solve our challenges going into the future. She would be change by being the first woman President, however.

That being said, I will have no problem supporting Hillary in the general election against any Repug if she wins the nomination.

I would love to see them on the ticket together.

8. well said
I've been for Obama since I saw him on Oprah a long time ago. I liked Edwards a lot too, but I think a lot of his support will go with Obama.

10. I'm 60...
...and officially a codger now (50=duffer, 60=codger, 70=geezer). My generation got two shots, and managed to produce the best "Republican" president of the 20th century (Bill), and the Worst President Ever (George of the Bungle). Time to pass the torch. Obama was absolutely right about the war, the most disastrous foreign policy decision in the country's history, and thus has the most credibility with me to reverse its course. My greatest reservation about him is that I fear he isn't up to the serious confrontation that any meaningful change will require--"hope/change/unity" doesn't seem like much of a practical game plan against opponents who view any sign of conciliation and compromise as weaknesses to be exploited. And I haven't yet seen any sign of the big steel ones he's gonna need to stand up to the inevitable Swiftboat attacks. At least Hillary's got a pair!

I too would accept Clinton, but Obama is an inspiration and leader.
