1. 60-40 against. If there was a deal to be made for it, it would have happened.
Now, just a news cycle or two away from Super Tuesday... well, it's a long shot.

Of course, as the primaries go deeper and deeper, the endorsement becomes less worthwhile.

Until the convention... and IF no nominee has enough delegates... THEN Edwards is in the drivers seat again.

But the problem is... what would he ask for?

VP spot again? AG? Neither would seem to be what he wants.

Given that he isn't going to run for President as the Democratic nominee, I don't think Elizabeth will want him on the campaign trail that much. She seemed to be done with that for now.

6. I think it may become clear
that nothing he did would make a critical difference- which is true of most endorsements anyway. I think people have their minds made up and neither candidate gambled by polarizing or attacking to break anything loose. I think they ALL know it is a done deal and they are putting on the good campaign for the grand finale. Judging by the lump in the pit of my stomach, no offense, I strongly suspect Hillary has it
by the numbers and Obama will have a good face-saving outing. Maybe she won't have the magic number after Tuesday but maybe too much in the bag for anyone to reasonably doubt it.

When all is said and done, a good, hard-fighting candidate with all the advantages prevails. Hey, I have been wrong about a lot of things this season, but hardly surprised. I really don't think much of an impression has been made by a small but impressive group of Democratic endorsers to make the voters think about electability, campaign offenses, the war vote, or much else except personality and experience. Nothing has cracked the Clinton shell of past loyalty and long rooted expectation she would run. I think we have a strong case of party professionals being lined up like ducks and I don't even know if they even HAVE a better political judgment this would be going against. Big money donors ditto. Women's groups, the same. The GOP, ecstatic and relieved.

4. If he's going to endorse, today would be a good time to do so
It would give his supporters the chance to ponder their Super Tuesday votes over the weekend.

5. No.
I am thinking that Richardson may make his endorsement public, despite the pressure from the other candidat's campaign that he hold off.
