Coulter Would Campaign for Clinton over McCain
Coulter Would Campaign for Clinton over McCain
Posted on Feb 1, 2008

Okay, so clearly Ann Coulter is not above leaning heavily on hyperbole to raise a few eyebrows and sell a few books, but this time she even managed to shock us a little with her announcement on Fox’s Hannity & Colmes that she’d go to bat for Hillary Clinton if she’s up against John McCain for the presidency, because, Coulter said, Clinton’s “more conservative” than McCain.

When her hosts at Fox News managed to pick their jaws up off the floor and press her on that point, though, Coulter made it clear that her startling endorsement had less to do with a sense of connection with Clinton and her platform than it did with Coulter’s extreme disdain for McCain.

2. Coulter is an opportunist, and a lousy right-wing entertainer.
But, the stopped clock might just be right. I think Clinton is nearly as conservative as McCain.

15. works both ways..surely you've seen the threads where Obama
has been accused of being a closet rightwinger because of the NY Post endorsement? Some horrible accusations there, but the "outrage" in this instance seems a bit over the top. If anything, this may work to Clinton's advantage, just because we on the left despise Ann Coulter so much.

4. Hmm. Sounds a little bit like people on DU who say...
...they would vote for Mike Huckabee or Ron Paul or John McCain before they would vote for Hillary Clinton.

Of course, I would never compare any of my fellow DUers to Ann Coulter. Surely we would never engage in the type of rhetorical excesses that she does...

10. Because RW memes and sources and pundits are now admired by
Some "supporters"?

Weird, huh?

11. Supporters? Wishful thinking
It is because Hillary will be easier for the Military Industrial Complex to sway to big spending on military and on more wars than McCain. McCain has tried to convince them of his willingness to give them another war if elected with his promises to bomb Iran but Hillary has basically agreed to the same thing with her voting yes on the Iran bill in the Senate.

Freepers hate independent thinkers they can't sway to their craziness. Look at all the previous RW presidents of the last 50 years. They were all basically just actors for the Imperialist RW war machine. I think Hillary has convinced them she will play ball with them, where with McCain there are some issues he just doesn't agree with them and won't change his mind. That is unacceptable to them.

14. I've been wondering
Rush, Hannity & Coulter have been quite vocal in their disgust for McCain. At first blush it looks like the GOP tearing itself apart.
But could it be a case that they know their opinion is less than worthless for the majority of Americans so by attacking McCain they make him look more moderate?

19. Coulter's comment...
...was more about her hate for McCain, than her love of Clinton.

I'm sure she hates Hillary Clinton--she's just showcasing her white-hot
hate for McCain--to her conservative audience--who also can't stand McCain.

It's a slam against McCain. The ultra-rabid faction of the psycho wing
of the Republican party--is imploding about McCain.

Have you tuned into Limbaugh lately? If you want a laugh, please do.

He's been so convinced that he is a kingmaker, and he just can't handle
that McCain keeps winning--despite Rush's 3 hours of hysterical daily
blathering.
