I don't think this is a big deal either way. Moveon's supporters were already voting for Obama either way.

There is a good chance that if they had given an endorsment it would have been for Clinton.

ANYMORE. I'm finished with them. They should NEVER choose a candidate in our primaries. They should wait until we have a candidate.

27. You should have emailed them |
|
I emailed them yesterday to say I didn't get the email. Then I got it and voted but when I checked back later a "real person not form letter" wrote me back to say that they saw I voted. So if I hadn't got it they would have fixed me up.
You can't complain if you do nothing...thats the same way I feel about politics. I tell my husband all the time if you are unwilling to volunteer and be involved like me you can't complain. Sorry...

|
Just because they endorsed Obama everybody who doesn't support Obama will not contribute to them anymore? How petty that is. They have every right to endorse any progressive candidate they want to.

31. As someone who has donated money to moveon for years, I am not donating money for them to attack |

a Democratic candidate for president. And I would have been just as pissed if they'd endorsed Clinton.
So, no more money from me, petty as that sounds.

32. Endorsing one candidate is not the same as attacking the other. |
|
Lots of times organizations endorse one candidate while praising the other one that they didn't endorse. I am sure that Moveon will enthusiastically support either candidate in the general.

34. Absolutely. If they endorsed Clinton, it would be the same thing. Using funds now that |
|

could be used in the GE to promote our GE nominee.
And, I have sent far more than a dime. The last time I donated it was the most money I've ever sent to a campaign or organization, during the Petreus ad controversy. The fact that Congress passed a resolution to ban their ad sent me to the computer whipping out the debit card and making as big a financial statement as I could, at the time.
I donated in 2004 and 2006, during the elections as well. I haven't signed up as a monthly contributor, though.
Until today, it felt like it was an investment that paid off over and over. Now, instead of focusing on crafting the ads and solidifying the netroots efforts to defeat the R's in the GE, we will see money and time spent to promote one Dem candidate over the other.

26. I don't think that it's a bad thing for Hillary not to get their endorsement. |
|
MoveOn is too far left for a lot of independents and centrists, many of whom were not too happy with the General Petraeus ad last year. So, it's a loss for her in some quarters and a win in others. Either way, I don't think that it'll matter much in the long run.
