Edwards Wants To Remain On R.I. Ballot
-snip-

Mollis' office said the Democratic candidates are expected to be Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

John Edwards dropped out of the Democratic race this week and initially, his campaign asked the secretary of state to remove his name. But NBC 10 has learned that Edwards' campaign has since asked for Edwards' name to remain on the ballot.

2. Do you need to stay on a few ballots to remain in "suspended" state?
For the GOP, the secretary of state's office said Hugh Cort, Mike Huckabee, Alan Keyes, John McCain, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney are expected to compete for position on the ballot.

Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani also dropped out of the race this week, and his campaign staffers took the necessary steps to have his name removed from the ballot.

The Rhode Island presidential preference primary is March 4. If you want to cast a ballot, Saturday is the deadline to register.

All cities and towns in Rhode Island have made arrangements to have an office open Saturday for people who want to register.

3. His statement said he was suspending his campaign
It did not explicitly say he was ending his bid for the white house.

Just not actively campaigning

7. Yay!
I can still vote for him!

Our primary is so late it won't matter though.
