Hillary's Own Assertion That She Was LBJ & Obama was MLK Does Make Some Sense After All. |
|
At first I was upset with Hillary Clinton's gratuitous analogy between herself and Obama with that between Lydon Johnson and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Upon reflection of the parallels between the idiotic and illegal war in Vietnam with the current one in Iraq, I have come to see a new rationale for Hillary's own analogy.
LBJ supported and pushed the war in Vietnam against the wishes of a great many within the Democratic Party.
MLK opposed the war in Vietnam and spoke out against it upsetting the establishment within the Democratic Party.
Of course, history has taught us that Dr. King was correct and that President Johnson was wrong about the war in Vietnam.
So maybe, Hillary's self-made comparison of her with LBJ and Obama with MLK makes sense after all.

3. A faulty premise ... flawed logic ... nonsensical conclusion |

And this is worth supporting ... why?

4. That's pretty funny. Now I have a dilemma: |
|
Do I buy into your concept and stay pissed at Hillary for her hand in getting us into or Iraq, or do I discard your premise and stay pissed at her for that god-awful comparison.
Decisions, decisions.
One thing is certain: she'll not apologize for her vote or her comment.

6. Lyndon Johnson also ran his campaign for the Presidency |
|
promising to pull the troops out and end the war in Vietnam. Three days after he began his administration, he started the escalation of the war.
