Those who hope California will be decided soley based on absentee ballots - you'll be dissappointed

In California, where the largest batch of delegates is at stake, a record number of absentee ballots, voting machine changes and logistical headaches have left registrars worried that they will end election night with up to 2 million ballots still to be counted, about 22 percent of the expected vote.

And this is between the Democrat and Republican primaries. So, at best, absentee votes will account for about 10-15% of the vote in the California primary.

California will be won on Tuesday. It hasn't been won in the last month, contrary to what Hillary homers... I mean supporters, think.

1. It will still be about 22% of the Democratic vote
But I agree, it will only be significant in the event of a squeaker.

2. 22% of the overall vote
That includes both the Republican and Democratic primaries.

4. I'm not sure I follow
Both parties will get about 22% of their voters' votes. The proportion between HRC and BHO will still be based on 22% early voting. I think the OP was to try to diminish the perceived benefit to Hillary, but the proportion of her take will be the same no matter how many Republicans vote.

5. It says nothing of the sort
It says of the total electorate - which one would assume would be the entire amount of voters from both the GOP and Democratic primaries on Tuesday - that 22% of all those votes will be absentee ballots.

It never mentions an individual party.

3. Hand count the ballots at the precinct level. No precinct is so big
that its ballots cannot be counted in a couple of hours. If there is one of such magnitude, then it should be divided into two.

7. Umm... ok.
Some Hillary supporter was trying to tell me last night that 47% of the Democrats voting in the Cal primary would have voted via absentee ballots.

Which was patently wrong.

Just like Obama's supporters have some unrealistic homers, so does Hillary.
