Poll question: Clinton or Obama: Which Would Direct the Justice Department to Investigate the Bush/Cheney Crimes?
Which of the two candidates for the White House would be more likely to go after the Bush and Cheney crimes and direct the Justice Department to investigate their many crimes?

1. Neither. And it would conflict with his 'end of partisanship' image. nt

Probably the one who warned of the 'vast, right-wing conspiracy' in the first place. Sure, they effectively muzzled her for a while, but I think she'll have something to say about all of this once elected.

8. Obama - he has open government advocates closely advising him. Hillary has Bill who
ocersaw the greatest protection effort in modern history when he sided with secrecy and privilege of the Bushes and their cronies throughout the 90s.

BushInc should have been in jail by the end of 1994, and instead we saw Dems turning over keys to Congress to GOPs, and turnibg over keys to WH in 2000.

How did Bill Clinton's deep-sixing of all the matters outstanding in IranContra, Iraqgate, BCCI and CIA drugrunning turn out for our party - for the ocuntry - - for the world?

I think he will put all the Bush/Cheney business out there.

14. Obama supporters are DELUSIONAL! I asked this specific question of Barack, he's my Senator,
and he said NO, he would not investigate and then went on to give me his usual bullshit rhetoric of "We need to bring the country together and if we spend all of our time investigating this administration we will never get anything done."

OBAMA WILL NOT INVESTIGATE THIS CRIMINAL REGIME and THAT is THE reason he does not get my vote.

16. Bill Clinton didn't investigate Iran-Contra under Bush I so HRC
would probably give Bush II a pass on his crimes.

22. Bingo. Like husband, like wife.
None of the many crimes that happened under the Bush Administration were ever looked into during Clinton's stewardship over the Justice Department.

Politically it wouldn't be a wise move to do. You will end up dividing the country up making it harder to push your agenda.

23. Really - then explain how deep-sixing of BCCI helped Bill Clinton pass healthcare?
Then explain how it feels knowing how the revelations in BCCI if dealt with honestly would have assured no Bush2 could ever get into the WH and would have prevented a 9-11 event?

There is bi=partisanship to get progress on an issue, and there is complicity that wears a mask called bi-partisanship.

And it wasn't only BCCI - many outstanding matters in IranContra, Iraqgate and CIA drugrunning were swept under the rug throughout the 90s, too.

26. Clinton...because she can get the Government running again faster than Obama.
She will "clean house," while Obama is still getting his moving boxes packed and trying to have staff meetings to figure out "who goes where, and in what job."
