I don't recall seeing such outrage when MoveOn endorsed Lamont over Lieberman in the 2006 Senate primary. The concept was the same for that endorsement. Something like 85 % of the membership choose to endorse Lamont.
While I agreed with their decision, you could make the same argument that they were working against a Democrat. Lieberman was still a Democrat at the time, and had been in office for three terms. I don't remember DU'rs moaning that MoveOn was betraying their membership.

4. They didn't endorse Dean |

He "won" their primary, but didn't get the 50 % to secure the official endorsement. Although the straw vote did garner Dean a lot of good press and arguably gave him the momentum to become a front-runner.

10. You've got more pictures of Obama on your posts than a schoolgirl with a crush. |
|
Get a grip on yourself. He's a fucking politician, not a Tiger Beat centerfold and not the progressive messiah.

Hardly anything to complain about. And at least it's bandwidth friendly.

17. Are you going to make me change my avatar & siggy now? |
|
seriously, why does it bother you so much? I personally enjoy seeing his siggy. And I've seen several clinton & edwards supporters with similar picture set-ups. Do you call them out, or just choose to limit it to Obama supporters?

and MoveOn wasn't working against a Democrat, they were working with a DINO. LAMONT was the one with a D next to his name on the ballot

9. Lieberman was a Democrat as well |
|
I hate Lieberman as much as the next guy. However, he was still a Democrat and not terribly more conservative than many other Senate Democrats.

13. Obama has the better anti-war record - what's the big fuss? |
|
There is no ambiguity there - between the 2 candidates, Obama wins on that point.
Unions choose, newspapers choose, other politicians choose --- and MoveOn chose. Did Clinton feel owed or something?
Obama deserved their endorsement and of the members that voted, Obama won by a landslide.

|
to HRC's. Ummm.... wow... same votes. Nice. What ever happened to anti-war when he joined the Senate - heck he couldn't support Kerry Feingold.
