I hope not but thats one thing I'm nervous about. I remember in NH when McCain won and Obama should've won but he took some of Obama's indie support. We'll see what happens. I just needed to vent.

1. Brace yourself. I think he will take some indies.
But keep this in mind...who is the most polarizing, most capable of drawing a vast coalition of haters across all sorts of party and ideological lines?

That person would be Hillary Clinton.

3. Only the "Indies" that support the war!!
Feb. 5th will give us a better idea if there's a danger of Obama gaining less than McCain.

4. Obama is the only one that could actually compete for those votes
if it's Hillary they will probably go to McCain heavily.

5. By the fall, Obama will make McCain look like Bob Dole in 1996
McCain is going to have the Iraq War hanging around his neck. The money spent, the lives lost, the endless war he wants... he took the bait.

8. Ironically - Obama will take more pukes from McCain...
Then McCain will take indies from Obama.

I know several long time pukes that are voting Dem for the first time ever - and it's for Obama!

9. Have you seen McCain debate, speak and be a candidate?
I mean really seen him?

The man does not do any of the above well, and he doesn't look like he enjoys a moment of it (even if he does).

I'm telling you that I lived in Arizona and he was not physically a presence there, his popularity was mostly based on his compelling personal story and press accounts of what he did. In other words, other people's accounts of what he did and was doing.

McCain himself is a poor salesman of his own message and history and that will come through in the election. Furthermore, he has taken matching funds, thus as nominee or even presumptive nominee, he won't be able to run any ads until his is officially nominated --some 7 months from now.

Obama on the other hand, sells himself extremely well, is extremely well funded and the press likes him (for now).

I'd rather be in our position with Obama than with Clinton and most certainly than with McCain in their position.

Don't fret. It's a lot better than you realize and it is the best option we have considering our choices.
