Need help to understand - Obama vers.Hillary
What is going on?

Since weeks I don't feel home at DU anymore.

People bash Obama like wild.

Why?

Did I miss something?

I'm a German Green Card holder, can't vote, but support Obama
as far as I can go ($) I can go very far.....................

Europe is in a frenzy..................they follow the
elections like never before as does the entire world (read the
international press)

But my very polite and serious question, WHY THIS DISLIKE OF
OBAMA ?????

1. I think you've got it wrong. Everyone here is cheering for Obama!
I've read lots of posts about how Hillary can't win the general election and about Obama supporters never voting for Hillary. DU is a Obama love nest!

Just sayin'!

2. What about this? (from DU)
seems there's still some confusion about this.
Poll result (76 votes)
Yes, he voted against the Iraq War (5 votes, 7%) Vote
No, he did not vote against the Iraq War (71 votes, 93%) Vote

??????????????????????????

4. I guess that confusion is a step in the right direction...
just a few minutes ago everyone was against Obama. So I guess we have improved the situation from hopeless to confusion!

3. I think a lot of it is your prospective.
If you support Obama, it seems like lots of people are bashing him.
And if you like Hillary, it feels like she is always getting attacked

I think it is pretty even overall. Lots of attacking going on. Some
just passionate support, a lot mean and nasty.

Because Obama is surging and has a serious chance to win, there may be a surge of attacks.

When you see a nasty thread or comment, put the person on ignore.
And watch the Obama bashing disappear.

5. I have a theory!
They don't have the balls to see that the Brother has game and will beat his Republican opponent via his articulate truths coupled with a vast stampede of a Democratic voter turn-out in November? So they fear him and demonize him in their frenzied panic?

But this formerly progressive, anti-war site seems to have attracted a large number of Clinton surrogates lately arguing strange, strange stuff like the correctness of voting for the Iraq invasion. Hard to believe but true.

The last vote (about 78 votes) taken was 40% for Clinton when she rarely polled more than 10-12% on much larger samples as recently as 10 days ago.

By comparison Daily Kos (with thousands of votes) had only 11% Clinton and MoveOn.org she polled less than 30% with thousands of votes. I think it may be because we are so small, we are more easily hijacked.

8. Don't worry, it's just a few of Sen. Clinton's zombie like followers
who are uber nasty and uber prolific in their postings. Hell I've written alot too but I get as mystified as you do as to the degree of their anger over anything Obama. Long story short, Hillary Clinton is an establishment candidate who feels it's her turn and things aren't going that well for her. The old ones never like it when they are up-ended by the younger wunderkind. It makes them do weird things like slime Ted Kennedy and MoveOn.org, and try to sweep the Iraq War under the rug.

Keep the faith. It's all going to get worked out soon and we'll have our candidate so we can use our biggest efforts to get the GOP out of executive power and keep them away from it.

Alles gut!
