New Alabama Poll: Obama 44.4(+4.4), Clinton 37 (+2)
16 percent are undecided.

MONTGOMERY - Barack Obama and John McCain continue to lead their respective Democratic and Republican party primaries in a tracking poll released Friday.

The new poll of voters as of Thursday showed Obama, the U.S. senator from Illinois, polling 44.4 percent of the vote, and New York U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton polling 37.4 percent in the Democratic primary, according to the Capital Survey Research Center.

Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards, who has dropped out of the race, had 2.5 percent. "Undecided" polled 16 percent.

Obama moved outside the margin of error in the poll for the first time.

The margin of error in the Democratic poll was 5.1 percentage points.

Just three days ago, it was Obama, 40 percent, and Clinton, 35 percent, with a 5 percentage points margin of error

8. I grew up in Alabama. An extremely conservative and fundie state.
If he's leading, it's the black vote. I just hope they'll turn out.
