Song from Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am Inspired by Obama Speech
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 08:52 AM by agdlp
The music video "Yes We Can" premiered on ABCNewsNow's "What's the Buzz" on Friday. It was inspired, will.i.am told ABC's Alisha Davis, by Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign and in particular by the speech he has gave after the New Hampshire primary.
Dylan and will.i.am say they did not coordinate the production or release of this video with the Obama campaign and the filmmakers say they don't even know if Obama is aware of the video.

So is USA letting a talk show host and a musician decide who you vote on?

It’s a fucking good explanation why musicians and talk show hosts should never ever be near political decision making.

1. Yeah because you don't like their choices. . .
. . .I love how folks love to know down supporters of any candidate. Do you have a problem with Maya Angelou supporting Hillary? What about Spielberg? What about Streisand?

This knocking of folks who don't share your support of certain political candidates is laughable.

2. John Kerry used Bruce Springsteen
Musicians and other entertainers are frequently part of campaigns. Susan Sarandon,Leonardo DiCaprio, and Robert Redford are just a few.

6. But Hollywood will always be involved in politics
There is no way around it. One of the Clinton's strengths in California is supposed to be their support amongst the Hollywood elites.

8. Its a different set of rules for the Clintons. . .
. . .the OP ignores the love Hollywood has for the Clintons, because Obama is getting just as much love.

7. So you want celebrities to shut up? Because they are celebrities?
Why are you entitle to support and candidate and work for that candidate and celebrities are not.

11. I think bouth Clinton and Obama gives a blow to democracy at lagre, playing the hollywood tune
There are a lot of undecided voters out there that wanted a debate on the issues. Instead we got a hug me; hug you, 90 min talk with prominent Hollywood people on the front seats...

13. The only reason why we had a "nice" debate was because Romney and McCain blew it the day before
That was the analysis for most political commentators.

19. You sound like a RWer. Limpballs, "Actors and Musicians have no place in politics"
Every American has a place in politics. If one happens to be famous and wants to use their stage to promote, that is the American way.

We all have a voice. Get over yourself.
