Absolute difference in the ...Experience of Obama and Clinton
Absolute difference in the two ...Experience
We know the Clinton administration was an excellent one.. Stooped a Bush recession, paid of debts of 17 trillion left by Republican Bush Administration. Put the nation back to work in just a few months, jobs were plentifully. Remember the talk of the nation working only four days a week, Remember the time when people could go in and tell the companies what they had to give them to take jobs, Oh my I long for more Clinton days in the United States, and remember this FOLK...All this while Bill Clinton had to deal with a Republican Congress and REpublican Senate.. and lets don't for get Newt Gingrich. Now don't tell me there is no difference in Obama and Clinton. Obama is about where the Clinton's were when Bill Clinton about 4 years out of College ran for the Arkansas Governorship.

1. The experience issue:
If people do not look at
Hillary's time in the White
House as experience and in
the same breath want to blame
her for the policy decisions of
Bill, that is nothing but mud-
slinging hypocrisy by the opposition.
If you do not want to refer to
Hillary's 8 years in the White House
as First Lady as experience, call it
graduate school for politicians.
1 year being a junior senator is comparable
to an Associate Degree for politicians.
Hillary has a Doctorate Degree in being
a politician compared to Obama having an
Associate's Degree in being a politician.

2. So, you wish to claim Bill's experience as being part of Hillary's?
In that case she can also claim NAFTA, '96 Telecom Act, welfare "reform", the destruction of Glas-Steagle(which has enabled the current economic mess), 500,000 innocents dead in Iraq via sanctions and thrice weekly bombing runs, DOMA, Don't Ask Don't Tell, the emergence of the working homeless, the gap between the rich and the rest of us widening to a record breaking chasm, the failure of providing a peace dividend, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

You can't claim one and then ignore the other.

3. I don't think Bill's and Hillary's politics are even remotely similar
he was a pragmatic centrist, basically a DINO. She's a conservative democrat, although recognizably liberal and progressive on some issues. They really don't have much in common. I don't consider wife experience to be life experience.

They are both junior senators. Obama at least served in state government. I'd say he has the advantage if the truth be told in terms of experience.

4. Is Hillary the NOW candidate, or Mrs. Bill Clinton?
The people who support her seem to do so based on one of those two contradicting reason. Seems that she has it both ways.

5. I'm sorry, but being First Lady doesn't count as experience towards being President
Her counting every year since she graduated from college as "experience" while dismissing Obama's real experience as "1 year in the senate" is just a tiny bit hypocritical.

10. What about Obama's judgement to be...
involved in land deals with Rezko? And also, does him being right on 1 issue mean he will be right on every other issue he decides on?

8. Hillary Clinton was a partner in the Rose Law Firm for 16 years.
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 10:17 AM by Yossariant
She has been a US Senator for 8 years.

Barack Obama "won" his first full time job 3 years ago when Jack Ryan was scandalized out of the race and Alan Keyes flew in to run against him at the 12th hour.
