5. How many delegates?
The Rudy Story
Over $50 million for a single delegate.

As the LA Times notes, that's the worst dollar for delegate record in American presidential history. The previous winner was John Connally who spent $11 million for a single delegate in 1980.

And at that rate Rudy would have needed $60 billion to win the nomination.

On the other hand, 9/11 did change everything.

6. As of right now, mitty has 59.
But he gave $18 million of his OWN money. He only took in $9 million from other donors!

It is hilarious that rudy911 spent $50 mil for 1, but it wasn't money out of his pocket.

7. OK, but there are plenty who spent millions for zero. Are those factored in?
Some examples on both sides:

Joe Biden spent $9 million
Sam Brownback spent $4 million
Chris Dodd spent $14 million
Duncan Hunter spent $2 million
Dennis Kucinich spent $3.5 million
Bill Richardson spent $23.5 million
Tom Tancredo spent $5.5 million
