A Call to Activism: Be Neither a DenethorDemocrat Nor a PalantirProgressive
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 02:16 PM by CorpGovActivist
http://www.tuckborough.net/denethor.html">Pity poor Denethor, Last Ruling Steward of Gondor.

Having studied the lore and the legendary power of the http://www.tuckborough.net/palantir.html">Palantiri, and facing a looming and seemingly insurmountable assault against his people, he succumbed to expedience: he dared to look, and in so doing, became ensnared. Only the true king could wrest a Palantir to his will.

The means of modern communication almost rival Tolkien's now. The dangers do, as well.

Do not be a DenethorDemocrat (TM) or a PalantirProgressive (TM).

Do not give in to the despair of watching your doom come at you.

Rather, join those who are fighting fate and fated, fiat favorites.

The Interwebs are powerful. Do not cower in your tower. Act.

Because, quite often, help unseen and unbidden arrives just in the nick of time, as when http://www.tuckborough.net/aragorn.html">Aragorn arrived with the Corsairs (that Denethor had foreseen and misinterpreted) in the http://www.tuckborough.net/battles.html#Pelennor">Battle of the Pellenor Fields.

- Dave

P.S. With a little help from my friend.
