1. You need a third option. Puke only.
If they had to chose between those two, they'd stay home and sit on their thumbs.

4. Not to mention...
...the implication that what southern rural people care about is not worth our concern.

16. I know a lot of "NASCAR Dads, and Grandads, and Uncles".
I don't know a single one that would vote Democrat. Ever.

25. I do.
The Democratic Party might as well pack up and go home if we're giving up on white working class voters.

26. I am white working class. I don't want to give up on anybody.
You must have a more Progressive circle of NASCAR-viewing friends.

Let's bring them in.

Not who they "would" vote for.

19. For God Sakes People look at the SC exit polls.
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/index.html#SCDEM

Edwards got the most white males Hillary and Obama split the rest evenly.

The notion that the NASCAR dad is always going to be with a Chauvinist or a Racist is a very ugly steraotype....and it the blanket assumption that they are shameful..... The Democratic Party should agreesively be courtin mill workers in South Carolina and Bubbas tih Dixie Decals on their pickup trucks.

Edward proved that they are attainable we need to go out and get more of them.

24. But, you DO concede that- in the event that they simply do not want to vote
for McCain- they would be much more likely to vote Obama than Clinton, right?

27. A Republican? Would a Republican vote for either Obama or Clinton?
I'd say a Republican would vote for neither. Seriously. I'm not pulling that out of my hat. Do you know any Neo-Con Republicans? Any Nascar Republicans? Any Bible-banging whacko Republicans? I do, and believe me they'd rather shoot themselves than vote for a Dem. They've been THAT brainwashed by the GOP.

Now, who would they have an easier time crossing over to?

Clinton or Obama?

You know the answer.

35. So am I to take it that we're just writing off Republican cross-over votes
entirely? Or just white males who vote Republican?

What do you think Howard Dean would say about that?
