I wonder how much the campaign expects to fill. I like that they are doing this so there will not be an overflow crowd, but damn thats gotta be a lot of money.

2. Pretty damned incredible, though, to see so many people actively interested in politics
instead of the usual apathy.

Awesome!

loves her candidate! They make an awesome couple and would make our country proud.

21. Oh, I watched a live stream today from Delaware.
I caught the tail end of her speak in Columbia, but this was the first time I had watched in entirety.

I wish they would come to NC, but with a May 6th Primary, we don't get much attention.

34. She's got way too much corporate money ...
to get unseated in NY. All that Wall Street and Defense contractor dough will make it virtually impossible for anyone to mount a serious challenge to her Senate seat. So NY, a state that is probably more blue than any other except possibly Vermont, gets stuck with a lifetime Senator who's only too happy to throw their young sons and daughters into the slaughterhouses of Iraq and Iran.

Sad.

3. His rallies always have "overflow"...
People always wind up being left out and having to see him on a large screen somewhere in a smaller hall. I'm curious to see how much of that stadium will fill up! Gobama!

23. How old is he? I am curious - I teach at a Big 10 university and I had a
student wearing an Obama shirt a year ago. He wrote a paper for the class in which he mentioned being obsessed (in a positive sense) with an internet chatroom that is a fan site for band that plays to support progressive candidates and I don't think I ever saw him in anything but his green Obama t-shirt.

:hi:

30. Can't compete with that.. my guy is 8 years old, but smart as a tack and he's been weaned on
Bush-loathing. His first art lesson was learning to draw moustaches and horns on Bush and Cheney. He can name the top reasons why GWB is Evil in 10 seconds flat :-) And he's getting his first dose of True politics, hope and inspiration this season ! I hope he'll remember this like I remember my parents campaigning for JFK and Bobby :hi:

5. I remember Nader bragging about how he filled huge stadiums in 2000
but other candidates didn't. It will be nice to have a Democratic candidate who can inspire that kind of enthusiasm.

13. Unless the bucket was Madison Square Gardens.
There are plenty of reasons to hate Nader but it did happen. He filled stadiums around the country.

We should be willing to learn from our mistakes and admit the problems with nominating a candidate who doesn't inspire people.

41. True. But do remember that he inspired those people ...
... by repeatedly proclaiming that there was no difference between George W Bush and Al Gore.

People *were* looking for inspiration, but Nader didn't need to distort the situation to inspire.

It is scary to think that, with the help of the media, this guy who lied about Clinton and use race to divide us, is being adored by so many. He gives us empty words, that do not match his actions. And the "fans" who know little of his stance on issues or voting record just jump on the band wagon.

42. Why would you post in this thread? Of what value was it?
It was just a negative, divisive comment. And a good example of why people are looking elsewhere for a different style of politics.
