How much of your love of Edwards has/had to with........

For me it's all 3. I'm sorry. Call me shallow and stupid all you want, but it's true. I'm human. What about the rest of you?

I am a total sucker for good oration. It is why Edwards was my second choice in '04.

#2 because he was addressing issues no other politician/candidate would touch. He got it about the economy before any one else.

5. I didn't even like him 4 years ago...

but the more I listened to him, the more I liked his message about the middle class and working people. He seemed very sincere to me... I'm just devastated that he has pulled out. I can't even stand to watch politics on TV right now.

His good looks really didn't have much to do with it, but he is the one who most reminds me of Bobby Kennedy.

9. I love the platform of Edwards.He spoke for me! He was the only one who I trusted to fight for me.

As my husband and I stood in line to pay for an outrageously expensive prescription for me, I said, even if it works, I won't be able to afford it(and we Have private insurance). My husband sadly said, "this is why I was hoping for Edwards.He might not have been able to do anything about this but he would have at least tried".He said due to their contributors, he felt the others would "give lip service and fold."

In the interest of full disclosure, we have met John many times and like him.We trust him to do the right thing.

and I don't listen to or watch debates or speeches, so a candidate's voice or manner of speaking or physical charms have little to do with my reaction to them. I do read though - and I read a LOT.

It was his campaign platform and to be honest, in a large part also the high level of intelligence, maturity and sincerity of his supporters on DU who pulled me in from the Kucinich "camp" - a camp to which I still aspire to honorary membership even now.

23. I have to tell you a story!

I went to a garden party/fundraiser in August 2006 that John was attending for a congressional candidate in Iowa. John walked out of the back door onto a deck. He was extremely tan. He had on a crisp white shirt and blue jeans. There was an audible gasp from everyone when they first saw him! Even some of the men gasped! He looked so good. He motioned for everyone to come closer to the desk by saying, "I won't bite." A lady in the audience said loud enough for John to hear, "Oh, please do!" I kid you not! It was so funny.

Frankly... John Edwards is a clean cut man, I don't think he is all that handsome. I do like his brain as I liked Clintons and John Kennedy's braines...Edwards and Clinton worked their ssa off to get ahead, and that is what we need in a president. Unlike the silverspoon fed dumb son of George Bush we have had to contend with for 8 years. How could this nation be so dumb, however if you speak with the average person in the south you might understand the Bush thing.

In my personal opinion, he's better on issues than the other candidates, and would likely lead the country domestically better than the others.

His looks don't impact my decision, except to the extent that they made him more able to spread his message. As opposed to Kucinich, for example, who doesn't have John's looks but does have his positions.
