Obama Names Barney the Dinosaur for VP

(Pasadena CA) Barack Obama tapped Barney the Dinosaur for the vice-presidential slot on his ticket at a rally here today.
The purple dinosaur will end his show and begin campaigning immediately.

"Barney is beloved by all and is totally in tune with the Obama campaign!" shouted Michelle Obama at the noisy ballroom. "We wanted Oprah but Barney is even better, and Barney is the only one in the world with a fatter ass than Oprah! He also represents the child-like view of trust and love we find so beneficial to the campaign."

Barney's spokesperson, Big Bird, spelled out The Purple One's qualifications for the job: "He doesn't have any, which is great! His race is unknown, his religious background is unknown, his sexual orientation and even his sex is questionable. He is the perfect candidate! And what a change he'd be from Cookie Monster Dick Cheney!"

"We love Barney, we love Obama!" Yelled hysterical supporter Lotta Hipps. "We have boundless hope and love and faith and all those gooey things!"
The childish Ms. Hipps then joined in song with the rest of the rally and sang: "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family; with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you; Won't you say you love me too?!"
