Sen. John Kerry's Sister Mugged In New York City
NEW YORK (AP) ― A mugger knocked down U.S. Sen. John Kerry's sister and stole her purse in downtown Manhattan.

Police say Margaret Kerry was attacked after leaving a theater in SoHo at about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday. A thief stole her pocketbook, which held about $60 and credit cards. Kerry, 66, suffered a cut to her head.

Police say no suspects have been arrested. Kerry told the New York Post that she didn't get a good look at her attacker.

Kerry, who works for the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, worked on her brother's 2004 presidential campaign.

1. I'll bet you a shiny quarter that
Hillary had someone do it! Take that, Kerry..for not supporting HRC. Of course, I'm just kidding. I don't think that but I thought I'd get it out of my system. I'm glad she is okay and wasn't hurt.

Gobama!

8. why mug at all?
it hardly seems worth the risk. a friend of mine, a Catholic priest, went to Japan in the 60's, not long after ordination. He told us that while passing through a large city (Yokohama, i think) he was so rattled by being in new country etc he left his trunk at the main train station, and it wasn't til next day he realized the mistake. But his Japanese hosts assured him they go back in couple days to get the trunk, it be there. And it was! after 3 days or something! Now the Japanese are no more honest and moral then we are- in war they prove to be as nasty as anyone (read 'King Rat') but the culture then simply didn't comprehend theft ...while ours not only comprehends it, it admires successful theft, if done with pens and paper, or by sheer unmitigated gall, like the 2k election. So 'blame' no one for the crime, our culture expects and possibly needs criminals to function...crime is just a low paying, very dreary type job (unless you're white collar)
indeed, criminals like the mugger should send a bill to cops and the prison/judiciary- their jobs and income are dependent on the crooks, rapists, murderers...
